What this notice covers
This notice explains what personal data we collect when you use this website, why we collect it, how we look after it, and the rights you have. We keep the data we collect to a minimum.
A note on NHS and pharmacy data
This website helps you find pharmacies in England. The pharmacy information we show — names, addresses, opening hours, and services — is publicly available organisational data from the NHS Directory of Healthcare Services. We do not collect, hold, or have access to any patient data or health records. Searching this site does not create any medical record about you.
What we collect and why
When you contact us. If you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message. We use this only to read and respond to your enquiry. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to messages you choose to send us.
When you browse. With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to collect standard, anonymised usage information (such as which pages are viewed and general device and location data) so we can understand how the site is used and improve it. These analytics cookies are only set if you accept them.
Affiliate links. Some links on this site are affiliate links: if you click through to a pharmacy or retailer and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. With your consent, a tracking cookie may be set by our affiliate network to make this work. We do not receive your name, payment details, or any data that identifies you from this process.
Cookies
We use a cookie banner that lets you choose which cookies to allow. Non-essential cookies (analytics and affiliate cookies) are switched off by default and are only used if you opt in. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings on the site.
Who we share your data with
We use a small number of trusted service providers who process data on our behalf under appropriate data-protection terms:
- Heart Internet — website hosting and email.
- Google — website analytics.
- Awin — affiliate-link tracking (with your consent).
We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for third-party marketing.
Storing data outside the UK
Some of our providers (for example, Google) may process data outside the UK. Where they do, this is protected by appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as an adequacy decision or standard data protection clauses.
How long we keep it
- Contact-form messages and related correspondence: 12 months, then securely deleted.
- Analytics data: kept for the period set in our analytics settings, then deleted.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us to: give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you; correct it if it is wrong; delete it; restrict or object to how we use it; and where applicable, receive it in a portable format.
